What area do MCS cover?

Mobile Caravan Services work within a 25 mile radius of Highworth, Wiltshire, including Swindon, Oxford, Faringdon, Burford, Charlbury, Chipping Norton, Didcot,  Witney,  Marlborough, Wantage, Abingdon, Lechlade, Fairford, Cricklade, Cirencester, Royal Wootton Bassett, Tidworth.

What payment methods do MCS accept?

Mobile Caravan Services can accept cash, debit and credit cards (VISA & Mastercard). All works must be paid for immediately following the service / repairs. If you cannot be present on the day of the works to make payment, then we can take payment in advance.

Do you repair faulty items during a caravan service?

A service does not include the repair of faulty items, however if we find any faults, we will call you for authority to proceed with the repairs which will be charged as extra to the service. If we do not have the required parts to hand, then we can arrange a follow up visit to carry out the works.

Do MCS carry out callouts?

MCS do carry out callouts. Callouts are charged at a fixed fee which covers the first 20 minutes at your caravan within our working area. Additional hours will be charged at the relevant rates. Please see our services page for rates.

What do I need to do before my service / visit?

Prior to MCS arriving to carry out a service on your leisure vehicle, we kindly ask that you:

  • Clean your toilet cassette.
  • Ensure the caravan is on firm and level ground.
  • Ensure there is a minimum of 1 meter of clear area around the caravan.
  • Empty storage areas / lockers of items.
  • Inform us in advance if fresh water and mains electricity will not be available.

The above will allow us to carry out the service safely and without disruption. Please contact us if you have any questions.

What parts do you include in a service?

MCS provide consumables such as grease, lubricants, test gas. We also include one shot nuts where fitted. Replacement items such as gas regulators or brake shoes are not included. Should replacement items be required, then we will seek your authorisation prior to installation.

Does MCS service mobile homes?

Unfortunately not. We only work on campervans, motorhomes and caravans used used for leisure purposes.

What services do MCS provide?

In addition to full, chassis, habitation services, gas system testing, we also carry out repairs and installation of various add-on’s, such as mobile broadband, solar panels, satellite television, etc. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What does MCS stand for?

MCS stands for Mobile Caravan Services. Our caravan service engineers come to you to carry our services, repairs, etc. to your caravan to save you having to bring it to a workshop. Our fully equipped and stocked service vans allow us to provide you with workshop level service but with the convenience of use coming to you.

Are you a member of a trade organisation?

Yes, we are members of the Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) and the MCEA (Mobile Caravan Engineers Association).

How do I arrange installation of a product I have purchased?

When you purchase a product that includes an installation option from our online store, MCS will contact you within 24h – 48h to schedule installation at a convenient time. We normally keep hold of products that require installation until the time of installation.

Do you provide estimates?

Yes, we do provide estimates if requested.

Please note that the retail price for spares can be high and that some repairs can be time consuming due to the way some caravans are assembled.
